Volunteer Information

Region 1200 Cathedral City would like to invite you to volunteer to become a coach or referee in our soccer program. The children cannot play if their are no coaches for a team or their are no referees for their games.

Coaching your child can be a very rewarding experience and there is no better way to bond with your child than being a part of the their soccer experience. Whether you are a male or female we will train you to succeed as a coach and supply you with the necessary tools for success.

Those of you male or female that are interested in becoming a sport official for soccer can get in on the ground floor by volunteering to be a referee. We will train you on all the rules and the spirit of the game for you to have a rewarding experience plus providing you with the uniform.

Too become a volunteer you must register s such by going to www.ayso1200.org. The courses you will need to take for any volunteer position are Safe Haven, CDC Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. These courses can be found by going to www.aysou.org and click on my courses. Please note there is a background check fee of $25.00 which will be refunded to you by the region if you pass the background check and fulfill the duties of your position that you volunteered for.

If you fail the background check or fail to fulfill the position you volunteered for you WILL NOT BE REFUNDED THE FEE.
